1. Academic & Training Objectives

schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.
• To provide substance abuse and de-addiction services.
• To promote child and adolescent mental health services (Learning disabilities, ADHD,
Autism).
• To develop expertise in managing geriatric psychiatry, suicide prevention, and crisis
intervention.
3. Community Psychiatry & Preventive Mental Health
• To conduct mental health awareness programs in schools, workplaces, and rural
areas.
• To integrate psychiatric services in primary healthcare (collaboration with community
medicine).
• To reduce stigma related to mental illness through public education campaigns.
• To provide psychosocial rehabilitation and vocational training for chronic psychiatric
patients.
