Goal

The teaching of undergraduate students in community medicine aims to prepare them to serve as community and first-level physicians, aligning with the institution's goals.

Objective

Knowledge: At the end of course the student shall be able to Explain/describe:

• The principles of sociology, including demography and population dynamics.
• The impact of urbanization on health and disease.
• Normal and social psychology.
• Healthcare delivery systems and rehabilitation.
• National health programs, policies, and international health policies and agencies.
• Epidemiological methods and techniques.
• Health information systems.
• The principles and components of primary healthcare and national health policies aimed at achieving "Health for All."
• Identifying environmental and occupational hazards and methods of control.
• The role of water and sanitation in human health.
• Health economics, health administration, and health education.
