• To develop a rational and scientific comprehension of therapeutics among students.
• To familiarize students with the basics of pharmacology and the clinically relevant
drugs commonly used in current medical practice.
• Explain the pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of essential and
commonly prescribed drugs.
• Evaluate the role of each organ system in maintaining the
internal environment of the body.br>
• List the indications, contraindications, drug interactions, and adverse drug reactions
(ADRs) of frequently used medications.
• Promote the rational use of drugs, considering their cost-effectiveness, efficacy, and
safety for both individual patient needs and large-scale therapy within the framework
of national health programs.
• Identify the physiological concepts that form the basis of
disease development and its treatment.
