About Department

Goal: The broad goal of teaching undergraduate students in Physiology is to provide comprehensive knowledge of the normal functions of organ systems to understand the physiological basis of health and disease.

Objective / Learning Objectives

A) Knowledge

• Describe the normal functions of all organ systems and how they work together to ensure coordinated body functions.
• Evaluate the role of each organ system in maintaining the internal environment.
• Explain physiological processes involved in normal growth and development.
• Outline body’s responses and adaptations to environmental challenges.
• Identify physiological concepts forming the basis of disease development and treatment.

B) Skills

• Perform experiments aimed at studying physiological processes.
• Analyse and interpret experimental or investigative data.
• Differentiate between normal and abnormal results observed in the laboratory.

C) Integration

At the end of integrated teaching, the student shall acquire integrated knowledge of organ structure, function, and regulatory mechanisms.
